Forget coaches, ADs to blame for 100-point loss

January 25, 2009 · 1 Comment

No kid or coach from the Dallas-area school that posted a 100-0 girls basketball waxing on Dallas Academy last week should be ashamed. It’s not their job to find gears during a contest. A player’s taught to play and a coach is taught to coach. Sympathy isn’t part of the equation.

The bigger question is — who allowed this game to be played? Since Dallas Academy has just six players and hasn’t won a game in four years, who would allow them to play against a powerhouse? The athletic directors involved are the ones who should be ashamed.

Does the Niagara Falls boys team play Park? Of course not. Administrators know what would happen and have made sure it didn’t.

Great point on the 100-game. Only problem I have with coaches is I hear on the way to 100 there were some coaches jumping up and down and cheering. Not sure if that was great judgement.
