Kilgour to coach NCCC lacrosse, but is it necessary?

A press conference today (Friday) is announcing Buffalo Bandits star and Niagara-Wheatfield graduate Rich Kilgour as the first head coach of the Niagara County Community College lacrosse team.

We had a story on this earlier this week, but it’s an interesting move by the school. Understandably, the college is trying to take advantage of the wealth of lacrosse talent in the area. And, of course, NCCC is pulling out all the stops to increase their enrollment numbers.

But should we be adding new programs at a time like this? In these economic conditions?

Either way, we’re happy to see Kilgour — an absolute class act — get the gig. He’ll do wonders.
